1940s navy stripe suit

 Vintage women's suit from the 1940s in navy wool with a fine stripe in red and cream. Single breasted fitted jacket, lined in dusky pink, 3 button fastening, wide rever collars, front flap pockets and 3 buttons on the cuffs. The skirt is fitted with 2 inverted box pleats front and back, from below hip level, side zip fastening and unlined. There is some staining to the lining at the  underarms. An excellent 40s re-enactment suit.
