Sizing, Measurement and Condition

Any sizes we give within the description of each item for sale are modern day sizes, this avoids any confusion.
 
If an item has a label, we ignore the size on the label.

This is because vintage sizes vary massively from modern day sizes.
 
Be sure to check the actual measurements we provide in our descriptions.

These are measurements taken from the garments themselves and are not body measurements, so make allowances for fit.

Compare them with a garment you have which fits you well. They are calculated as follows:
 
Bust - measured across the fullest part of the bust.

Waist - measured across the narrowest part of the waist.

Hips - measured across the fullest part, generally 7 - 8" below the waist.

Length - measured from the nape of the neck/top of waistband to bottom hem of the garment.

Sleeves - either the inner seam from the armpit to the cuff or from shoulder to cuff, depending on the style of the garment.

If after this you find the garment genuinely does not fit and you wish to return it please let us know.We will of course reimburse you the cost of the garment, but not the postage. Thank you.

Returns - We must be contacted within 7 days of receipt of purchase if item is unsuitable.  Item must be returned within 14 days of purchase to receive a refund.  Buyer assumes return postage cost.  Item must be returned in protective packaging.  A refund will be issued if item is returned in same condition as sent.
